About Us

The Vancouver Junior Giants is a South Delta, B.C. community based Spring Hockey Program, supported by the WHL Vancouver Giants.

The program was created and is directed by Lawson “Boots” Boutilier. Lawson is the skills coach and mentor to all Junior Giants players and coaches.

Lawson’s passion for helping young players develop a love for the game of hockey is what drove him to develop this program.

Our 2014 season will field eight teams in the 2002, 2003,  2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 age groups.

Our Mission

The focus of the Junior Giants Hockey Program will be skill development. As teams progress a more complex teaching of team and game tactics will be introduced. Our goal is to provide players of like skill an opportunity to continue to train and play together.

Players will be taught the importance of hard work, leadership, respect, discipline and sportsmanship both on and off the ice.

Our goal is to create a learning environment where all players are acquiring hockey skills and knowledge but developing a love for the game is of utmost importance.

Vancouver Junior Giant coaches will be expected to coach every player with respect, understanding and leadership.

The Junior Giants Hockey Program will offer a rich and rewarding experience both athletically and socially for players and their families.

Junior Giants Players

Junior Giants are South Delta hockey players that are chosen based not only on their skill level but on work ethic, listening skills, discipline, desire to achieve more and ability to be a good team member.

We feel these qualities in our players will create an environment for optimum player development and team success.
